Who do we serve? Mulberry High School’s Media Center serves approximately 1200 students in grades 9-12.
What about computers? 32 computers have Internet access and are equipped with Microsoft Office package – Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
Who can use computers? In compliance with the Polk County School Board policy, ALL students at MHS are allowed to use computers. All computers are to be used for academic purposes only.
Checkout? Students may check out all books at MHS. Three (3) regular books may be checked out at a time for fourteen (14) days. We use the Follett software DESTINY as a catalog/circulation system. Students may search for books using this system.
Size of our collection? 8,000 books and 166 Playaways
Renewals? All items may be renewed.
Holds? If a book is checked out, a student may request the book be put on hold for checkout once it becomes available. The student should pick up the book within one week after being notified or the book will be returned to the shelf.
Overdue books? It is the student’s responsibility to return books on time. Date due slips are located in the back of the book to serve as a reminder. Students are responsible for returning the book in a timely manner.
Lost Books? It is the student’s responsibility to notify the Media Center staff and pay for any lost or damaged books.
